Yesterday we left Pagosa Springs in our Bronco, loaded up with all our riding gear, and bags what would go on the motorcycles. With the motorcycles on the trailer, we headed out around 8 AM. The drive was uneventful to but also not all that scenic as we made it into Amarillo, Texas. The location we picked as our staging location for leaving the truck and trailer, and heading off on the motorcycles for what is planned to be an over 4,000 mile round trip over the next couple of months. The weather would have been great to leave our home with the motorcycles and not need to truck and trailer. But our return in late December is bound to be very cold and likely snowy. Hopefully Amarillo is far enough south that we don’t have any issues getting back on the motorcycles.

Today, we are headed into Oklahoma.
